It began in 2015 with a piece of land, about an acre in size., bordering a small lake and wilderness preserve in Central Florida. The land, while a bit overgrown, already hosted a number of trees, flowers and plants that provided plentiful fruit and nectar to support the local wildlife that visited the area.

As we settled into our new home, we enjoyed watching the butterflies visit the wildflowers, picking citrus off the trees, and eating the occasional passionfruit or loquat that we were able to secure before the critters feasted on them.
